The Old Depot Association and Gallery are located in what was formerly the Southern Railway Depot, built in 1909. The Association is dedicated to preserving this historical landmark.

The Old Depot is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to protect and maintain Black Mountain’s historic Train Depot and to discover, nurture and preserve the arts and crafts of the Swannanoa Valley.
Local crafters display and sell their work in the Gallery. Using the profits from the Gallery sales, the Old Depot Association sponsors art, music, dance, and drama classes in the public schools of the Valley. The Association and Gallery are located in what was formerly the Southern Railway Depot, built in 1909. The Association is dedicated to preserving this historical landmark.

Join with a donation of $15. You will receive invitation to our annual general membership meeting every May and 10% off your purchases at the Old Depot Gallery. You may also join one of our committees to help with our mission to maintain the Depot building and preserve arts and crafts of the Swannanoa Valley.
